Blossom

What a difference a week can make once the weather improves. Most of our earlier cherries now have a wonderful display of blossom, promising a good crop. We have honey bees and bumble bees to pollinate them, and are protecting them from frost, so hope all is well until harvest....

First an apology for writing too few articles recently.

We have been busy on the farm, and have now finished pruning both the blueberries and cherries. We are now in the middle of planting the fields of new blueberries. Despite the cold spring so far, the crops are growing well and today we got our first cherry blossom, 2 weeks later than last year, but we will make up some of that time before...
